I have a showroom Honda Accord LX 4DR with only 8800 pampered miles. When I say pampered, I mean that I do an elaborate engine break in. I go above and beyond the manufacturer recommendations by varying the RPM for the first 600 miles. I am a fanatic about this. Always keeping the top RPM under 2300 during this time. This creates an even wear inside the engine rings and pistons and ensures super long engine life. My last Accord had over 300k miles on it when I sold it. I drive like a grandma after the breakin. I am hypermiling and getting over 40MPG on the highway and 37.8MPG average with this car. That was my own accurate calculation using miles driven divided by gas consumption in gallons to the tenth of a gallon. We can verify the hypermiling by also looking at the mpg history on the cars mpg in dash monitor. It goes back pretty far. You will see that my numbers are much higher then the average Accord. This means that you are getting the absolute most pampered 2014 Accord on the planet. Ask me how to hypermile the right way if you are interested. I would be glad to share my method with you. It involves driving very slowly and gingerly. I have already rotated the tires for you to ensure long tread life. You really should do this every 10K miles. I do it around 8K. Oil was just changed (8500 miles) to Full Synthetic 0w-20. This will also add to the mileage readings as you will pick up about 1-2mpg more running full synthetic oil when compared to conventional. The car itself is mint. I am one of the guys who parks all the way at the end of the parking lot. I never park next to another car. This keeps the car ding free. This is a beautiful Champagne Frost Metallic Accord with tan interior. One of the classiest colors available. Looks alot like the Lexus Tan. I only washed the car with microfiber cloths and waxed the car with microfiber discs. I even went so far as having the dealer not wash the car when I got it to keep it from getting swirls and scratches in the clearcoat. They do not wash the car with microfiber when they prep it at the showroom and it shows. The car is absolutely showroom! I purchased it Brand New in April from Huntington Honda here on Long Island. We just had a baby so I purchased a Honda Odyssey and a Toyota Sequoia more recently. I do not need a sedan any longer due to the baby so I have decided to sell this pristine car at a great price. This is a great deal. You will save thousands over buying an Accord from the dealer. No accidents, clean carfax, not stolen, not flooded or fixed in anyway.
